You are invited to hear Dr. Beverly Yahnke (Executive Director for Christian Counsel with DOXOLOGY) speak at Hope Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 18 at 2:00pm. Dr. Yahnke will address the topic "Dealing with Depression," which is very applicable at this gloomy time of year and she will address this subject with her delightful sense of humor. All are invited for the lecture and reception following. Please come; spread the word; bring a friend in need. Location: Hope Lutheran Church, 5218 Neosho St., St. Louis, 63109.
In case of inclement winter weather, Hope Lutheran Church does open on Sundays and will hold its normal Sunday services and Christian education opportunities (see schedule below).
Please use your own best judgment as to how safely you can travel on the roads, sidewalks, and parking lot! Roads in the immediate neighborhood around hope may be snow packed and icy following a winter storm.
At Hope Lutheran Church we hold to the Biblical teaching that by His death and resurrection Jesus Christ won forgiveness of sins and eternal life for us and all people. The Holy Spirit calls and gathers us by God’s forgiveness of sins in Jesus Christ. The Church is the people of God assembled around the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His life-giving Sacraments. Every time we gather around His Word and Sacraments, He delivers this forgiveness and life through these God-given instruments. God makes us His holy people who love and trust Him above all things and who serve their neighbor in love. For more on what we believe, go here.
We invite you to visit Hope, whether you're a life-long Lutheran, looking to find out more about the Lutheran Church, or just plain curious about church in general. We invite you to join us as we grow in the life of Jesus Christ through worship, fellowship, service, and learning, so that all we do may bring glory to God.
